TERMS & CONDITIONS 

WARRANTY:

We do our best to provide the best quality products to our customers. There is a 12-month limited conditional warranty against defects on our custom-made products and installation services (except lens restoration) we provide.

 

For our RUV and POLY KLEAR lens restoration service there is a 3-year warranty.

 

Missing/damaged parts/components must be reported within 14-business days upon receipt of the order, we are not liable for any claim on missing/damaged parts/components beyond this 14-business day window regardless of any postage insurance purchased.

 

For parts that we re-sell, and do not belong to us such as readymade headlights, fog lights, taillights, etc. that are not custom made by us, and is sourced from another supplier, a 12-month warranty applies as per supplier/ manufacturer's condition.

 

The warranty covers the replacement of the part(s) only and does not cover any associated costs regarding labour or any other expenses incurred or associated with the purchase of the part(s). We will issue a replacement part(s) at no cost (Postage costs for posting out replacement parts will be the buyer's responsibility).

 

In some cases, the faulty/defective part(s) may be required to be returned to Dan’s Custom Car Lights, if the part is repairable or required for assessment to analyse the problem with the part, in this case the buyer will be responsible for any costs associated with posting these part(s) back to Dan’s Custom Car Lights.

 

DEPOSIT:
In most circumstances where we are required to order additional or special parts, we may require a deposit to secure your booking or order. This deposit is used to purchase those additional parts needed to commence the job. The deposit becomes a credit towards your purchase. 

 

CANCELLATIONS:

For bookings that does not require ordering of parts, your deposit will be refunded in full if you cancel your appointment with at least 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice or you do not attend your appointment, we reserve the right to not refund your deposit. We ask that you give us at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment to give other customers the opportunity to fill sought-after appointment times.

 

We strongly encourage providing as much notice as possible to avoid any inconvenience towards other customers and the business.

We ask for at least 3 weeks’ notice for change of mind or cancellation. If parts have been purchased for the job and you wish to cancel your order, the amount spent on the parts will be compensated from the deposit.

To stay on schedule and avoid delays, parts are ordered 1-2 weeks in advance before the customer's appointment or scheduled production date as it may take up to 7-10 days before parts arrived to us. If parts have been purchased for the job and you wish to cancel your order, the amount  spent on the parts will be compensated from the deposit.

REFUND POLICY:

 

GOODS:

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.

If there is a problem with your order, we will repair the item within a reasonable time as per warranty (please refer to our warranty policy for more information). If it is not repaired in a reasonable time, you can choose a refund or replacement. If a replacement part is not available, a refund of the original purchase price will be issued.

You can also choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. This is when the item:
• is unsafe posing a direct danger to your health or well-being
• is significantly different from the sample or description
• doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.

Assessment of the reported faulty item is at all times required before receiving a refund or replacement. We may ask for the faulty item to be returned to us which in this case the buyer will be responsible for any costs associated with posting the item back to Dan’s Custom Car Lights.

 

Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we will compensate you for any drop in value. Please keep your proof of purchase such as your receipt

 

SERVICES:

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind about the services you asked for. But you can choose to cancel your contract, and receive a refund for unconsumed services, if the service provided has a major problem. This is when the service:

• is substantially unfit for its common purpose, and can't be easily fixed within reasonable time
• does not meet the specific purpose you asked for and cannot be easily rectified within a   reasonable time
• creates an unsafe situation 

• has a problem that would have stopped someone from purchasing the service if they had known about it

 

If you choose to continue with the contract, you can ask us to compensate you for any difference in the value of the services we provided and what you paid. If the problem is not major, we will fix it within a reasonable time. If it is not fixed within this time, you can choose to have someone else fix the problem and recover all reasonable costs from us. If the problem cannot be fixed, we view it as a major problem. Physical and/or over the phone assessment (troubleshooting) by us of the reported fault is at all times required before receiving a refund or replacement. Please keep your proof of agreement such invoice or quote.

CUSTOMER OUTSIDE AUSTRALIA( AND NON-AUSTRALIAN SPEC MODELS):

Customs import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying from us.

 

Please note that all items sold by Dan’s Custom Car Lights are predominantly for the Australian and New Zealand market only, however, some items are compatible or can be made compatible with other countries. Please contact us before purchasing to be sure.

 

For countries outside of Australia/New Zealand, we do not take responsibility for any of the products we sell that may not function or fit properly, it is the buyer's responsibility to make a careful and calculated decision before purchasing. Due to this, items sold by Dan’s Custom Car Lights to buyers in other countries (other than Australia/New Zealand), may or may not be road legal for their respective country of residence.

 

*Pictures of parts received may be requested for missing part claims; if the claim is against damages, pictures of damaged parts must be presented within 7 business-days upon delivery, delivery time is subjected to the courier's tracking information.

PRIVACY POLICY:

We respect and protect the privacy of our customer. Any personal information given or collected by us will be stored securely. Personal information will not be misuse and given to any third party. Any information that is not long relevant to the business are disposed appropriately to ensure customer's information are safe. We comply to Australian policy law, Privacy Act 1988.

DISCLAIMER:

Any or all activities and/or actions depicted in this site may be dangerous, the authors of any material have only related their personal experiences. Any information, photos or text contained in this website is for public viewing only, we do not endorse or recommend any particular activity or action. 

 

All products mentioned on our website are for off-road use only. We recommend checking with the transport department in your state and obtaining an engineer’s report for all performance modifications that are carried out. It is also in your best interest to check with your insurance company that they will still cover your vehicle for any modification you intend on performing.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser, installer, and end user to make sure any modifications being carried out meets the road rules and regulations of the state they are in. We take no responsibility for any damage or injury to vehicles, property or persons whilst using any of the products or information from this website.
